EAST BAY FISHING REPORT UPDATE - JULY 10, 2004
Lake trout fishing good. 80 - 100', depending on the wind. Lots of undersized fish being released. Cowbells and green Spin 'n Glows best. White fish still good 40 - 60' (Deep Water Point). Everybody using spawn. Bass totally off the beds. Fish the breaks. Crawfish colored tubes the best bait. 12 - 20' down.

WEST BAY FISHING REPORT UPDATE - JULY 10, 2004
All the bass are back on the breaks and drop offs, 12 - 18'. Light colored tubes the best. Look for rocks and weeds. Some lake trout being taken but pretty bad boat traffic due to the holiday. No perch to be found.

TRAVERSE CITY-LOCAL LAKES FISHING REPORT - JULY 10, 2004
Everything has slowed down a little bit. A lot of small walleyes being taken. The fish seem to be tighter to the weeds - 14 to 19' down in most lakes. Perch are spotty but seem to be the best of the panfish right now. Bluegills were hard to find this year.

Lake Leelanau has been the best for large perch - 12 to 15' near the weeds. Everyone switching to minnows as there are no more wigglers to be had. Lots of undersized walleyes in the weeds. Big fish seem to be sliding deeper.

FRANKFORT FISHING REPORT UPDATE - JULY 10, 2004
Salmon have been a little spotty, the the boats that are getting out there at daylight are doing the best. Attractors and Flies - 50 to 90 down from the Herring Hole to Pointe Betsie. Some are running clean spoons, but because of the early bite, it has slowed down by 8:00 am. Trolling speed 2.1 to 2.4. Green seems to be the best in flies or spoons.
